As soon as we get our new microscope, we will take pictures and post. My students do think based on this experiment that a chemical reaction will occur on other metals if exposed to water or other types of liquids.

Here in NYC, we do have ticks. We just learned that pigeons carry most of the ticks here in NYC. A few of our teachers have experienced being bit by ticks.

Our class did a neighborhood walk to collect different types of plants or flowers that are unique to the NYC area. It was difficult since most of the area was built by community organizations and businesses in the area. We were able to find some plants that are mostly found in our region.
